Combat Element & Sigil Chart
Ledgerbound's battles run on a Fire–Water–Plant rock-paper-scissors triangle that decides damage and accuracy. Tap an element to see what it beats and what it fears.

The element triangle
| Element | Strong against | Weak against | Plays like |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🔥 Fire | Plant | Water | Burst and aggression. Best in Acquisitions-style lineups that end fights fast. |
| 💧 Water | Fire | Plant | Control and durability. The Claims pick — soak hits and grind enemies down. |
| 🌿 Plant | Water | Fire | Denial and Sigil tricks. Field Research favourites for bending the board. |
Sigil tiles
The battlefield is a grid, and certain tiles — Sigils — carry an element of their own. Standing a unit on a Sigil that matches its element boosts that unit's stats; standing it on a Sigil of the opposing element drags those stats down. Reading the board is half the fight: a weaker matchup standing on a friendly Sigil can beat a stronger one caught on hostile ground.
- Match your Sigil — park damage dealers on same-element tiles before a big turn.
- Deny the enemy — force foes off their Sigils, or onto opposing ones, with movement and control tools.
- Plan the route — grid positioning matters as much as the type triangle; a turn spent reaching the right tile often pays for itself.
The exact triangle directions above are our working model from the public demo and trailers; we'll update this chart the moment the studio publishes a complete breakdown. For the full picture, see our Combat System Explained guide.
