“This is well outside the scope of my role.”

Rayna is the character you play in Ledgerbound: a fantasy insurance adjuster whose ordinary corporate career is upended when a catastrophe forces her into the role of a company-sponsored Hero. She’s the everyperson at the center of the game’s satire — competent at paperwork, suddenly responsible for saving the world, and quietly aware of how absurd that is.

Who she is

Rayna isn’t a chosen-one warrior; she’s an employee. Her authority to fight the Vacari comes from a corporate mandate, complete with performance reviews, shareholder expectations, and the running gag of Hero Insurance. That framing is the heart of the comedy: world-saving as a job with a manager and an expense account.

In combat

As the protagonist, Rayna anchors your party across Ledgerbound’s grid-based, element-driven battles. How you build around her — and which companions you pair with her — is central to your strategy.

Her choices are yours

Because Ledgerbound emphasizes permanent decisions, Rayna’s path through the story, her relationships, and her tactics are shaped by calls you can’t take back. For the full premise, see our story & setting guide.
