Who are the Vacari?

The Vacari are Ledgerbound’s ancient, immortal enemy. The story kicks off when they threaten existence itself, dragging Rayna out of her desk job and into Hero work. Their defining trait, per the game’s own pitch, is that they come back after each loss “deadlier, dastardlier, and more dangerous…erer than before” — the comedy framing of a genuinely escalating threat.

What their immortality means for you

Mechanically, an enemy that returns stronger is a design nudge: don’t get comfortable. A team and strategy that crushed them last time may not next time, so the game rewards players who keep adapting. Expect new wrinkles each encounter rather than a fixed, memorizable pattern.

How to fight them
