Overview
Ledgerbound: Everything We Know
Release date, platforms, combat, companions, romance, and story — the complete, regularly updated rundown of everything confirmed about Ledgerbound.
Ledgerbound is a turn-based tactical RPG with a comedy heart and a dating-sim soul, set in a high-fantasy world where the real monster is corporate bureaucracy. You play an insurance adjuster who gets yanked out of a desk job and made a company-sponsored “Hero” the moment an ancient threat collides with a performance review. The one-paragraph version
Save the world on an expense account. Ledgerbound blends grid-based, rock-paper-scissors tactical combat with workplace satire and full-on romance, all wrapped in a fully voice-acted story. It launches July 14, 2026 on PC (Steam), from OmniMegaSuperCorp — a studio founded by ex-Helldivers 2 developers, including that game’s narrative director. If you liked the dry, modern humor of Helldivers 2’s writing, that voice is the headline draw here.

The setting: Eldarra, Inc.
The game is set in Eldarra, a fantasy realm where corporate bureaucracy is the backbone of society and magic powers everything from farm work to infrastructure. “Hero work” is a department. Saving the world comes with paperwork, shareholder expectations, and HR policies. Our story and setting guide goes deeper on the premise — and yes, “Hero Insurance” is a real plot engine.
Combat: a tactical rock-paper-scissors triangle
Battles play out on a grid in turn-based stages. Every unit has an element — Fire, Water, or Plant — and that triangle drives the damage and accuracy of attacks. The board itself fights back: Sigil tiles carry an element, buffing a unit standing on a matching Sigil and weakening one stuck on the opposite element. Optional objectives during a mission reward company vouchers, which you trade for stat-boosting corporate gear.
Learn the system in our combat guide, and use the interactive element & Sigil chart as a quick reference.
Companions and romance
You recruit a party of coworkers, and between missions you spend camp downtime building relationships — friendship or romance, “assuming HR signs off.” Confirmed romance options so far include Prince Avarice (voiced by Matt Mercer), Cazian (Ben Starr), and Jazz, the manager (Stephanie Kerbis). The wider voice cast includes Caitlyn Elizabeth, Gabriel Michael, and Jeff Leach. Full details in our companions and romance guide.
Choices that stick
Ledgerbound leans into permanence: “every decision you make, you are stuck with forever.” Expect branching conversations and consequences you can’t quietly reload away — which matters a lot once relationships are on the line.
